What is the goal of an environmental simulation?

Improve quality and durability

Extreme temperature fluctuations, moisture, dust, impacts or strong vibrations even occur simultaneously in many areas of application, but must not have any influence on the functionality of a touchscreen. The aim of the environmental simulation for touchscreens offered by Interelectronix is to:

  • to analyse the environmental influences that occur and
  • Carry out environmental simulation tests that lead to the
  • Optimize the quality and durability of a touch screen with regard to the area of application.

The product life cycle of a touch panel is the focus of attention. Suitable environmental simulation tests are used to map the expected stress factors over the entire product life cycle.

Under the life cycle concept, not only the stress factors that occur due to the actual operation are considered, but also stress factors that can e.g. during transport, due to installation and removal or influences that can emanate from the target system and the place of use.
