For years, Interelectronix has been an outstanding manufacturer of particularly high-quality resistive and projected capacitive touchscreens and develops high-quality special solutions for open frame touch displays. With many years of experience, excellent development expertise, material know-how and a unique understanding of quality, Interelectronix offers a wide range of high-quality open frame touch display systems.
Individual Open Frame Display Systems
Our core competence is the development and production of application-specific touchscreens and open frame touch display systems that can be seamlessly integrated into our customers' applications. In doing so, Interelectronix is actively involved in the development of environmentally friendly products and is working to reduce the use of environmentally harmful materials in touch displays.
Product innovation is often driven by advances in materials. The materials we use in our products and integrations are therefore crucial for your functionality, quality and reliability. Through numerous and demanding projects, our team is characterized not only by its development and technology competence but also by an outstanding material know-how.
Best material quality
Our past experience confirms that the quality of a touch display integration is significantly influenced by the selection of the right materials. However, it is not only the use of particularly high-quality materials that is relevant, but the materials must also be specifically suitable for the application-specific environmental conditions, as well as optimally matched to each other.
Quick access to new materials
The development of materials science and engineering is of great importance for the design of innovative products. Hardly a month goes by without a new material coming onto the market that opens up new design and integration methods for touch displays. Interelectronix works closely with research institutes and manufacturers of innovative materials. This has the great advantage that we have very fast access to new and forward-looking materials that are denied to a company from outside the industry.
The materials glass, adhesives and seals are very important for high-quality touch display integration. It should be emphasized that, in addition to the use and selection of suitable materials, the specific know-how required for many materials in production is also a significant component that has a significant influence on quality.
Competent in glass
With the triumph of PCAP technology in the consumer and kiosk sector and the associated demand for touch display integration with a full-surface glass surface, the importance of glass as a material in touch display integration is becoming increasingly important.
In addition to a changing design standard, glass is justifying its claim as an innovative material through the emergence of new touch technologies. With OGS Touch technology, for example, an integration option is coming onto the market that makes a considerably thinner touch display possible.
Already with the introduction of the resistive ULTRA touchscreen, based on a GFG (Glass-Film-Glass) construction, Interelectronix demonstrated the numerous advantages of glass in touch displays.
For many years, the Interelectronix development team has been paying great attention to glass as a material and, thanks to numerous and demanding projects, has special material expertise in the field of glass.
Proficient in adhesive materials
High-quality adhesive materials have a noticeable influence on the longevity and functionality of a touch display. For the integration of touchscreen and display, different adhesives and bonding processes are used, depending on the integration design. While frame bonding is mainly done with special assembly adhesive tapes, highly transparent liquid adhesives are used for optical bonding.
Both processes involve imponderables with regard to the right material. Determining the appropriate adhesive material with regard to future environmental conditions is often not easy. Especially in areas of application
- the permanently extreme temperatures (heat or cold)
- or strong UV radiation
The adhesive must be determined very carefully. The same applies to touch displays that are permanently
- strong vibration
- or strongly changing air pressure
are exposed.
By means of special test procedures, Interelectronix tests known and new adhesive materials for their suitability with regard to the respective area of application and can thus ensure that an adhesive bond is optimally suited for the application in question.
Proficient in seals
Seals have the task of protecting the inner workings of a touch display from the ingress of dust, gases and liquids. Sealing systems are therefore at the center of the development and integration of high-quality and durable touch display systems.
Similar to adhesive materials, permanently error-free operability and the longevity of a touch display depend on several factors. In addition to the quality of a seal and the correct application in terms of manufacturing technology, the suitability of the seal for the planned area of application is particularly decisive.
If a touch display is to have a high impact resistance or thermal resistance, be resistant to acids or vibration, a seal must be selected that fully meets these requirements. This is because detailed tests and analyses of third-party integrations have shown that incorrectly selected seals
- permanent heat or cold,
- strong UV radiation,
- Contact with acids or seawater
- as well as strong pressure or vibration
do not withstand.
The result of an incorrectly selected seal is an early impairment of the functionality or, in extreme cases, a total failure of the touch display system.
