High-quality open frame touch display by means of material testing
The requirements for touch displays are extremely different. In kiosk applications or touch displays that can be used in harsh industrial environments, extreme heat or cold as well as moisture have a lasting effect.
Functional touchscreens
In order to test the suitability of materials, adhesives and laminations as well as the functionality of the touchscreen and touch display under extreme climatic conditions, we carry out extensive climate change tests.
A weak point in the integration of touch displays is often the adhesive joints and seals, which cannot withstand extreme climatic conditions in the long term if the wrong choice is made. Sophisticated climate change tests are used to test the behavior of adhesives and seals under different environmental conditions. Depending on the environmental influences to be simulated, the temperatures vary from low minus temperatures from -40 °C to 80 °C, in addition, the relative humidity (humidity range 10 % to 98 % RH) is usually varied.
Tight and resistant seals
In a climate chamber specially designed for this purpose, the setting behavior of the adhesives as well as the tightness and resistance of seals under different climatic influences are tested for specific applications. Becoming special
- storage at high temperatures, or
- Climate change tests on the materials
in order to determine exactly those adhesive joints or gaskets that are best suited for the specific environmental conditions.
The test results prove which are the most suitable materials for the planned use and serve as a solid basis for a high-quality open frame touch display integration.
