Innovative production processes for touch display manufacturing
The integration of open frame touch displays requires the use of modern production facilities that are geared to the specific requirements for the production of high-quality touchscreens and touch displays.
Interelectronix is your long-standing experienced specialist for high-quality touch display integration and has innovative production processes and state-of-the-art production facilities.
Dust-free cleanroom production
In order to produce high-quality touch displays, Interelectronix has invested in an ISO class 6 cleanroom. In the modern and fully air-conditioned room, we are able to produce high-quality open frame touch displays using the optical bonding process.
- Our cleanroom is suitable for bonding resistive analog as well as PCAP touchscreens with all TFT displays available on the market with diagonals from 2.4 to 24 inches.
Optical Bonding
The optical bonding process is a sophisticated bonding process in which work is carried out under absolutely particle- and dust-free conditions. In optical bonding, we fill the space between the display and the windshield with a highly transparent material adapted to the refractive index of the touchscreen and LCD display. The reflection of the surface is thus almost completely eliminated. At the same time, the contrast ratios improve significantly compared to non-bonded displays.
Optical bonding is used to produce high-quality touch displays that do not have optical defects such as
- dust inclusions,
- scratches or
- Moiré effects
may be exhibited.
Another tried and tested process in touch display production is the frame bonding of touchscreen and display. In this process, the display is not glued to the touchscreen over the entire surface, but only the frame of the display is glued to the touchscreen.
Frame bonding in the cleanroom
Gluing the frame is a cheap process with the advantage that the display can be disconnected from the touchscreen if necessary. The execution is also carried out under clean room conditions in order to guarantee high-quality bonding without contamination.
Laminating under cleanroom conditions
Laminating the surfaces of touchscreens is a finishing process that offers a wide range of possibilities for optimally aligning a touchscreen with the planned area of application.
In addition to bonding the display to the touchscreen, we also laminate glasses, PMMA and acrylic films as well as protective filters under clean room conditions.
The lamination of glass and foil is a complex process in which not only a modern production facility guarantees success, but specifically the skills and experience of our team in product manufacturing. The result is touchscreens that meet the highest demands.
The following combinations are possible:
- Glass – Glass
- Touch glass
- Touch – PMMA
- Touch – Acrylic
- PMMA/Acrylic - PMMA/Acrylic
