A highly transparent lamination enables a homogeneous, two-dimensional unity of the touchscreen surface in the entire touch panel.
Optical Bonding - Bonding without air inclusion
The major procedural challenge in optical bonding is the bonding of the touch sensor to the glass surface without an air gap or air bubbles. It is distinguished among two basic methods of gluing.
Filling method
In this process, bonding is done by Auffüllen the Luftspalts between the sensor and the glass surface. Avoiding air bubbles is the real difficulty of direct bonding and requires many years of experience and competence.
Displacement method
In the displacement method, the display and touch component are connected to each other with liquid glue. Excess adhesive material is eliminated by squeezing the two components together. The material that comes out at the edges after joining is removed.
