Surface finishes are a proven method of protecting the carrier plates of touchscreens against special environmental influences in a material-specific manner. For many applications, permanent corrosion protection is an important prerequisite.
Corrosion protection through anodizing
Interelectronix has set itself the goal of offering special touchscreen solutions that meet special requirements for the resistance of the materials.
In harsh working environments, such as those common in industrial production, the construction industry or the chemical industry, we recommend the bezel of touchscreens in aluminum carrier frames, which are already very resistant due to the material.
With an additional surface finishing by means of anodizing, we can optimally compact the surface of aluminum carrier plates and thus provide the best possible protection against corrosion.
The long-lasting corrosion protection achieved by anodizing contributes significantly to the service life of a touch system and reduces the cost of operation due to the fact that support frames no longer corrogate and consequently no longer need to be replaced.

First, the material is pre-treated with the help of a pickling lye to obtain an even surface and open the pores.
If a color printing of the carrier frame is desired, the next step is to use the coloring under-anodized printing process.
Finally, the fresh and porous layer is compacted with steam, resulting in a closed and corrosion-resistant surface.
