The quality of the materials used is of considerable importance for the
*Lifetime
- Operational readiness as well as the
- Cost of maintenance and operation.
In order to guarantee the consistently high quality and reliability of our touchscreens, Interelectronix uses only the highest quality materials.
##Moderne Material Qualification
The determination of suitable materials and finishing processes is always based on the premise of making a material selection that results in a particularly high-quality and durable product according to the planned area of application.
In addition to comprehensive material know-how, modern 3D CAD development and design programs are used to simulate all material and finishing options and validate their suitability.
The digital prototypes created using 3D CAD are then checked by means of FEM calculations (finite element method) to see whether the material requirements are met in terms of physical properties.
Through this supplementary process, possible weak points with regard to the materials or finishes used can be identified and eliminated at an early stage in the development or design phase.
##Hochwertige Materials - long service life
The lifespan of a touch screen does not only depend on the protective surface or the front panel, but also affects the quality of all materials and components used in manufacturing:
- Protective glasses
- Glass thicknesses and types
- Material of the front panels *Adhesives *Seals
- Foils for lamination
- Surface coatings *Inks
- Powder for powder coatings
- Cable and plug *Controller
This very brief overview shows very clearly how many different materials have an influence on the quality and thus on the service life and smooth operation. It should be emphasized that, in addition to the selection of suitable materials, the selected manufacturing processes have a significant influence on product quality.
We consciously source our materials independently from different suppliers in order to always be able to offer the objectively best materials for the respective area of application
##widerstandsfähige Materials against corrosion
Gläser
Corrosion causes components to wear out more quickly and the particles released as a result can lead to deposits and abrasion, which in the long run can impair the reliability of the touch function or even the optical properties of the touchscreen.
Inferior and cheap materials can very quickly lead to production downtimes, unexpected repair costs or even the total failure of a touch panel and the associated cost-intensive replacement.
For touchscreens that are used under particularly adverse operating conditions, we pay particular attention to using only high-quality materials that have been tested for extreme conditions in the surface structure, adhesive joints and seals.
